Mectron has a wide range of specialized departments, equipped with Over 30 CNC machines, presses, advanced measuring systems and heat treatment furnaces, ensuring quality, reliability and efficiency at every stage of production. Thanks to a complete machine park and a highly qualified team, we manage internally the entire production cycle, from design to implementation and quality control, offering tailor-made solutions for sectors automotive, petrochemical, food, garden products, pipes and many others.
Our milling department has 7 CNC milling machines with 3, 4 and 5 axes of prestigious brands such as DMG Mori, Hermle, OMV, FAMU and FIL, which allow us to perform high complexity machining with micrometric precision. Thanks to the use of advanced software for programming and simulation, we optimize each production cycle to ensure maximum efficiency and quality.
The turning department consists of: CNC and traditional lathes, including the Puma 2600 SY II 6-axis with double spindle and power tools, the DMG Gildemeister NEF 400 and two parallel lathes: Nosotti Ø300 x 2000 and CMT URSUS 225 X 1500. This machine park allows us to work a wide range of materials with very high precision, even on complex geometries, guaranteeing flexible batches and great productive versatility.
The EDM department consists of 2 wire EDM and 2 sinker EDM of brands like SEIBU, ONA and Sound Best, fundamental tools for the realization of high precision components with complex geometries and details of difficult processing.
The department is equipped with 4 grinding machines of leading brands such as Favretto, Zocca, Jones Shipman and Morara, which allow machining with centimal tolerances and very high quality finishes.
Equipped with 1 full head boring machine at 90 degrees, ideal for deep drilling operations and tight mechanical couplings.
The department consists of precision industrial sawing machines, including OPUS band saw, FENDO and Saw-Mill, used for the cutting of bars, profiles and semi-finished products in different materials, ferrous and non-ferrous. This department is the starting point of the production cycle, and allows the raw material to be prepared with speed and precision, optimizing supply and reducing waste. It is essential to efficiently feed milling, turning and machining departments.
The department of quality control is equipped with 1 Hexagon 3D measuring arm and 1 profile projector, as well as digital gauges, comparators and other precision instruments. Thanks to these advanced technologies, we are able to make detailed measurements and rigorous dimensional checks, ensuring maximum reliability and compliance with the standards required by our customers.
Within the QC department we also use a high precision profile projector, ideal for the relief of profiles, angles, radii and complex details on small and medium-sized pieces. This tool allows us to rapid and non-invasive testing, ensuring the geometrical conformity of the components.
The drilling department is used for precision drilling and complementary operations, and is integrated into our production cycles for both the preparation and finishing of mechanical components. It is particularly useful for manual operations on small batches or for specific interventions on complex parts.
The press department is equipped with 1 mechanical press CMP, used for testing of cold forming, deep drawing, shearing and forming for all the moulds made by us.
To ensure the highest quality and strength of components, we have furnaces for internal heat treatment, which allow us to hardening, tempering, normalization and other treatments directly in our plant.
Our Technical Office is equipped with advanced CAD/CAM softwares, including Vero Visi, specific for mould design. Thanks to this technology, we develop highly accurate and optimized designs, ensuring perfect integration between design and production.
